Today's theme is night. One of my favourite things to do in lockdown has been having a camp fire in the garden with my family. This isn't a usual family activity, but lockdown has broadened our horizons. Capturing moments around the fire, as the sun was setting, of my dad chatting to my sister, this portrayed a natural and candid shot. Later that evening there was a contrast of the dark blue toned sky and the glowing orange fire which had great effect.
I was also inspired by the poem
'the old astronomer to his pupil' by Sarah Williams
'Through my soul may set in darkness, it will rise in perfect;
I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night.'
See you tomorrow.
